About The Oh Sew Flamingo Store

The Story of The Oh Sew Flamingo Store

Hi I’m Andrea and I have a passion for all things crafty & I love the quirkiness of Flamingoes!
I’ve always loved crafting and will give anything a go except knitting which being left handed & taught to knit right handed is not pretty to watch!!
I grew up watching & admiring my mum’s ability to sew, she could always make something out of nothing as well as beautiful ballroom dresses & my bridesmaids dresses before she passed away.
I always made dressing up outfits, dance & synchronised swimming costumes & hairpieces for my children when they were younger but it wasn’t until The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world that I realised & believed that I could actually sew “real” items!!
I made over 1000 items for my local NHS heroes including scrubs, hats, bags & masks and discovered a real passion for sewing & the Oh Sew Flamingo Store was born! 

Like everyone else I am conscience of the impact single use products have on the environment therefore all my products are made to be reusable washable & replace single use products.
I guess I’m following in my darling Mum’s footsteps & I only hope I make her proud. 🥰

Our Process

Here at The Oh Sew Flamingo Store we take pride in our handcrafted products. From initial design, to choosing beautiful fabrics & hand making every item we put our heart and soul into every piece we make.

We are family run business made in the heart of Norfolk.

All the products are designed and made by me, Andrea.My daughter  Naomi helps with graphic design & my husband Darrin  is the driver, gazebo erector & general help at my outdoor events.

Why do we use Bamboo towelling in our face pads

.A natural product

  • Supersoft, comparable to silk,
  • Naturally Antibacterial & Anti fungal.
  • Up to 300 times more absorbent thancotton towelling
  • Eco-friendly and 100% biodegradable.
  • The Bamboo plant quickly grows new shoots with little human intervention, so no pesticides or fertilisers.

They are perfect for make up removal, cleansing, toning & are soft enough to use on babies too.

Simply pop in your washing machine to clean and reuse. (Washable up to 60 degrees)

Charity Donations

Dress a Girl Around the world

Here at The Oh Sew Flamingo Store we think it's important for girls to feel cared for. 

Therefore We make dresses & for girls in impoverished countries. These dresses may be the only new item that some girls will ever own. Therefore pockets are very necessary to keep any little personal effects safe.

These dresses are made as part of the charity Dress A Girl Around the World UK .

I am proud to be involved with this worthwhile charity.
